Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow led the charge to Buffalo Bills locker room

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow led the charge in taking team captains to the Buffalo Bills locker room to check on the players there late Monday night following the first-quarter stoppage of a Week 17 game.  Presently we have more affirmation on that front. Burrow was the first to inquire about the possibility of taking captains and visiting the Bills’ locker room, according to Bengals long snapper Cal Adomaitis, who played with Damar Hamlin at two different stops.

Burrow went with Joe Mixon and Ted Karras on the trip. It would appear that Burrow was the first to speak up in the midst of a tragic situation and set the stage for the examination of Bills players. That is a testament to both Burrow and the NFL‘s culture, which is embodied in the fact that head coach Zac Taylor himself visited the hospital where Hamlin is still in critical condition as of this writing, despite some recent positive developments.
